Voices On Left Speak Out Against New Push For Gun Control

posted on December 8, 2015

While the president and the front page of The New York Times call for stricter gun laws and the denial of due process for individuals on the FBI’s terror watch list, some on the left have become disillusioned with this gun-control crusade. A post on PJ Media, titled “How the ‘New York Times’ and Loretta Lynch Made Me Join the NRA,” condemns the Obama administration’s dangerous conflation of attacks by crazed lone shooters with the coordinated actions of terrorists. The writer concludes by proclaiming, “You’ve got another one-time Jewish lefty in the NRA.”

Meanwhile, The Daily Beast published a piece called “My Fellow Liberals, Don’t Support Obama’s Terror Watch List Gun Ban.” It is promising to see that so much of what we have pointed out about the dangers of such a ban is coming to the attention of thoughtful people who are not necessarily supporters of gun rights.
