Woman Attempts To Rob Armed Pharmacist With Fake Gun

posted on June 13, 2015

In another example of the principle that real is better than fake, a woman walked into a pharmacy in Kansas City, Mo., and demanded cash. She reportedly told the pharmacist and owner, Pete Spalitto, that she had a gun. “I’ve got a gun, too,” he replied, and aimed a .45-caliber pistol at her. She immediately fled the scene; Spalitto chased her down the street but was unable to catch her.

Police did manage to recover the bag that the would-be robber brought into the store, only to find that the “gun” inside was a plastic replica. Regarding his real firearm, Spalitto commented, “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out if you’re selling drugs in this day and age, you should have a gun on you.”
