Woman With Rifle Sends Stalker Scrambling

posted on May 3, 2017

There are a few ways to enforce a protection order: through the courts, by calling police—or with a rifle. The latter is how a Chickasha, Okla., woman administered hers.

The Express-Star says the woman was granted a final protective order against Larry Grammer in March. But days later, Grammer had called threatening to “come after her” if she didn’t turn over the title to a car. Then, he contacted her while sitting outside her home, threatening to kill her for the title.

Finally, last Friday night Grammer was at the woman’s house again, and Lieutenant Scott Weaver of the Chickasha Police reported, “Dispatch broadcast the woman had a rifle and was standing on the porch, yelling for Larry to leave. As police units were responding, Larry backed out of the drive and drove away at a high rate of speed.” Grammer was tracked down shortly after the encounter and placed under arrest.
