S.F. Supervisor Happy To Drive Last Gun Store Out

High Bridge Arms, the last remaining gun store within San Francisco city limits, is closing its doors in response to new legislation that will make it too difficult to do business. In an interview with CNN, City Supervisor Mark Farrell initially ran down a series of rehearsed talking points about the supposed need for local gun-control ordinances that go farther than federal law.

When pressed by the anchor on whether his ordinance was just about “optics and playing to your city’s liberal elite,” Farrell doubled down by claiming that the measure resembled one already on the books in Chicago—as if emulating a city plagued by some of the country’s worst gun violence was a point of pride. He even went so far as to celebrate closing down the store—“… if that means a thousand less guns on the streets of San Francisco …”—with no concern for the jobs lost!
