San Antonio Robbery Suspects Shot

A San Antonio man shot two suspects accused of robbing his girlfriend in front of her apartment Sunday night. Just before midnight, two men approached the woman outside her apartment and robbed her at gunpoint. The suspects then fled on foot while the woman ran to her boyfriend, who was sitting inside a nearby car. According to police, he then grabbed a handgun and chased after the two men. One of the men turned around to confront him, prompting him to fire multiple shots, hitting one in the shoulder and one in the leg.

A short time later, investigators found the suspects lying on the sidewalk—however, they claimed to be robbery victims from the shooting. The suspects were taken to University Hospital for treatment and are expected to recover from their wounds. The boyfriend is not expected to face criminal charges, but the robbery suspects will face charges of aggravated robbery.
