Robbery Teaches Uncomplicated Truth

posted on June 24, 2015

Mighty tough to improve on Kathy Bell’s analysis of the goings-on in her corner of Henry County, Georgia, late on the evening of June 16.  When a neighbor found a burglar attempting to steal items from his boat and shed, he tried to detain the suspect. When that effort failed, a single shot was fired, striking the burglar in the stomach. The suspect will recover, but faces multiple charges.

When interviewed by WSB-TV 2, Ms. Bell nailed the whole shabby business from end to end: “No, I don’t have sympathy for him. I hope he learns [the] lesson that you work for what you want; you don’t come and take it from other people. It’s not right. I’m sorry [they] got hurt, but look what they were doing.”

You may spot some omission or improvement, but we certainly have nothing to add. Bravo, Ms. Bell!
