Ohio Woman Credits 2A With Home Invasion’s Happy Ending

posted on October 22, 2016

An Ohio woman who, along with her husband, held a home intruder at gunpoint until police could arrive is crediting her safety to her Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

According to local media reports, the Akron couple was in their home when a man walked in and started toward their bedroom. The woman’s husband retrieved a gun and pointed it at the man while she called police. She then retrieved her own gun and pointed it at the man from his other side until police arrived.

“This is why gun control is a bad idea,” the woman later posted on Facebook. “We held him at bay until police arrived about 10 after 7. Did anyone die? No. Could anyone have died? Most certainly. Our guns saved our lives today. Responsible gun ownership should never be revoked. If it was, our situation today could have cost both of us our lives.”
