Exactly Why Do We Need More Gun Laws?

posted on February 10, 2016

As gun-ban proponents push for more and more restrictive measures that only affect law-abiding citizens, our nation’s revolving-door justice system has a way of making a mockery out of the laws already in place.

A Minnesota man who stole more than 85 guns and several motorcycles has been sentenced to probation under a plea agreement. Brian Reicks, 19, pleaded guilty to one count of felony theft of a firearm and one count of felony theft for taking a motor vehicle without consent as part of the Oct. 15, 2015, agreement.

Reicks and two others broke into a home in April 2015, tipped over a gun safe, cut open the bottom of it with a torch, and stole more than 85 guns. Most of the guns were sold, and police have yet to recover all of them. Now tell us again why we need more gun laws?
