Oregon Democrats Undeterred, Vow Major Anti-Gun Push For 2017

Unable to win new gun-control laws this year despite having trifecta control over the state government in Salem, anti-gun Democrats in Oregon vow that if re-elected in November, they’ll come back swinging for gun control next year, the Oregonian reports

While Gov. Kate Brown and Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum met last week with gun-ban lobbyists to discuss anti-gun executive orders that could be imposed without the legislature’s approval, House Majority Leader Jennifer Williamson promised to revive her bill to allow gun sales to be delayed indefinitely, and Senate Majority Leader Ginny Burdick called for legislation allowing people to “blackball” others from owning firearms by claiming that those people are “in crisis.”
