Armed Texas Homeowner Stops Intruder

Police are investigating an apparent self-defense shooting in Galveston County, Texas.

According to local media reports, police received a call from a Bacliff, Texas, homeowner early Sunday morning saying an intruder had broken into his home. The homeowner stated that the intruder had a knife in his hand and lunged at him with it.

Feeling threatened, the homeowner shot the intruder one time in the abdomen, ending the threat. The case remains under investigation by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
