N.J. Legislature Trying To Block “Justifiable Need” RTC Improvements

New Jersey’s Senate Law and Public Safety Committee held a procedurally required hearing yesterday on the legislature’s attempts to kill small improvements to the “justifiable need” standard required for residents to obtain handgun carry permits.

These improvements, recommended by Gov. Chris Christie and implemented by the State Police earlier this year, would strengthen New Jersey’s self-defense laws—which is why anti-gun legislators in Trenton have resorted to this procedural maneuver to kill them.

USE YOUR POWER!

New Jersey’s “justifiable need” standard, one of the strictest in the nation, unjustly prevents law-abiding citizens from carrying a firearm in times of emergency. Help us right this wrong by defeating this legislative end-run around the will of Garden State residents. Contact your legislators in Trenton and politely urge them to strengthen your right to own a gun to protect yourself and your family by clicking here.
