When Roger Cochran got angry over a Facebook post last Saturday night, things went from bad to worse very quickly.

According to local media reports, Cochran was at his girlfriend Toni Davis’ house in Coffee County, Ga., when he got angry and began beating her. When Davis’ mother tried to intervene, Cochran pushed her down, then held a knife to Davis’ throat and threatened to kill her. Fearing the worst, the mother shot Cochran, ending the threat.

Cochran died from his wounds. No charges will be filed against the mother.
