Cracked.com Shows Idiocy In Attack On Eddie Eagle

posted on January 26, 2017

Cracked.com, a so-called “humor” site, has offered up a plethora of gun control propaganda over the years. Whenever they can work in their anti-gun views, they gladly do.

The latest example comes courtesy of JM McNab, in an article titled “7 Horrible Things You Won’t Believe Have Cartoon Mascots.” In the piece, McNab tags NRA’s Eddie Eagle as the worst offender. He claims that the widely acclaimed program’s “hoped-for result is new customers.” Laughably, McNab tries to back up his argument with support articles from Michael Bloomberg’s The Trace and “studies” by the Violence Policy Center. Both are adamantly anti-gun organizations that are famous for their inaccurate, misleading information.

The reality is that the Eddie Eagle GunSafe program has taught millions of children what to do should they come across a gun. Moreover, despite McNab’s insinuations to the contrary, the program does not promote firearm use, nor does it offer any value judgment whatsoever regarding guns. But McNab would rather keep pushing his meaningless gun control message than offering real solutions like NRA’s gun safety program does.
