Arizona Woman Sends Home Intruder Scrambling With A Single Rifle Shot

What’s the best way to frighten away an intruder entering your home through a window? Try a firearm.

Mesa police told ABC 15 Arizona that last week a woman had pushed a man out her front door as he tried to break in. A short time later, the suspect—31-year-old Keion Terrell Ellis—tried to enter the residence again, this time through a window. When the homeowner’s child saw the intruder, the woman grabbed her rifle and fired a single shot, driving Ellis away.

Unbelievably, the suspect returned, pounding on doors and windows. This time police were at the scene and arrested Ellis for burglary and disorderly conduct. Investigators say the family knows Ellis from an ongoing dispute with another person at the residence.
