The marchers came prepared with catchy slogans on T-shirts and signs like “No one is safe unless everyone is safe” and “Real men don’t need guns.” They gathered at the headquarters of the NRA to decry what they called an “incendiary video calling for armed conflict.” (We missed the call to arms in the video; watch for yourself and see if you can point it out.)
But a funny thing happened during the Women’s March protest against guns and the organization that fights for the right for law-abiding citizens to arm themselves for self-defense—turns out that the march organizers were surrounded by … guns. Yes, the anti-gun women had hired an armed security detail in order to protect themselves. (No word on whether everyone else was safe because they were safe.)
NRATV, in its live reports from the event, rightly asked, “Who paid for Women’s March leaders’ guns?” But this hypocrisy has become a commonplace occurrence across America. Elitists like George Soros and Michael Bloomberg have no problem preaching gun control on one hand, while being protected by armed guards on the other. For many in the liberal left, the real catchphrase seems to be “Do as I say, not as I do.”
NRA-ILA Debunks Everytown Claims On National Reciprocity
An article on the NRA Institute for Legislative Action’s website identifies the latest piece of misinformation peddled by Everytown for Gun Safety. The Michael Bloomberg-backed anti-gun group has been claiming victory because national Right-to-Carry reciprocity is not yet the law of the land.
Never mind that anti-gun activists are losing ground across the country, with permitless carry and campus carry laws going into effect in state after state. Never mind that support for Right-to-Carry reciprocity is higher than ever before and may soon be strong enough to pass a bill through the House. Because such a landmark win for gun rights hasn’t happened yet, Everytown would have supporters believe that they are to be congratulated.
This appears to be the latest trend in messaging from anti-gun groups. Without significant victories to speak of, Everytown and their ideological comrades have been reduced to bragging about the defeats they made it through the week without suffering.
Plans for the CMP release of 1911s stalled during the Obama administration, but this new bill includes language that would mandate the sale and remove a yearly cap of 10,000 guns currently in place. The historically significant firearms are currently being stored at taxpayer expense and would provide a significant source of government revenue—not to mention an exciting opportunity for gun collectors.

Ohio Man Shoots Home Intruder
Police believe an incident in which an Ohio man shot an alleged home intruder is a simple case of armed self-defense.
According to local media reports, a man came into a Preble County, Ohio, home occupied by three adults and three children. He had a mask tied over his face, a gun in his hand and was shouting obscenities. That’s when one of the residents shot the intruder.
“The resident’s decision to fire at our victim was based on the fact that the victim was armed with a pistol,” Sheriff Mike Simpson told News Center 7. “So, based on what we know today, we don’t see any issues with [the resident’s] decision to do that.”
The intruder later died at a nearby hospital. Nobody else in the residence was injured.
