Idaho Republican Gov. Brad Little recently signed House Bill 206 into law, expanding the state’s permitless carry law.

The measure will allow law-abiding gun owners ages 18 to 21 to carry their legally owned handguns within city limits in the state without a permit. Previously, the law stipulated that only gun owners ages 21 and over were allowed to carry their handguns in city limits without a permit.

While gun owners ages 18 to 21 were previously allowed to carry their firearms outside city limits without a permit, the new law standardizes permitless carry for all legal adults and is a welcome step forward in the already gun-friendly Gem State.
