March for Our Lives co-founder and gun-control activist David Hogg deleted a tweet August 22 in which he asked his one-million followers if they’d be interested in hearing his thoughts on the 2020 campaign via a video every day until the election.

The answer was clearly not the one he wanted.

Of the nearly 100,000 votes cast, a resounding 84% voted “No.” The poll was taken down promptly following the overwhelming response.

Hogg first began making waves in 2018, when he co-founded March for Our Lives. He has since become a national voice against the Second Amendment and has been a devout opponent of the right to keep and bear arms. The 20-year-old activist has repeatedly attacked the NRA; he even voiced support for New York Attorney General Letitia James’ preposterous lawsuit against the NRA. He also previously stated his intentions to run for the U.S. Congress once he is of age to do so.

Last year, March for Our Lives released what it coined as a “peace plan.” In reality, this plan would turn your constitutionally guaranteed rights into a privilege that would exist only with the permission of the government. This plan would seek to “reexamine the District of Columbia v. Heller interpretation of the Second Amendment” as well as to implement the most-strict gun-control measures in US history.

From forced confiscations to registries, bans on the most-popular rifles and standard-capacity magazines, the “plan” embodied what proponents of gun control dream about. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are, in fact, via their anti-Second Amendment platform, also pushing for these bans and restrictions.

That Americans, who are exercising their Second Amendment rights in record numbers, clearly don’t want to hear Hogg’s radical anti-gun rhetoric shouldn’t be a surprise—except, of course, to him.

Standing Guard | The NRA is Strong

The strength of the NRA is, and has always been, our membership. Without our millions of members, we would not be able to effectively rally behind elections for pro-freedom politicians; just as importantly, if not for our large membership, our representatives in office would not feel the same urgency to listen to us in this constitutional republic.
