We’ll say this for President Barack Obama: He’s been a heck of a salesman. With his administration and other anti-gunners continuing to attack our Second Amendment rights, Americans have responded by heading to their local gun stores and by acquiring carry permits.

Since 2007, the number of concealed handgun permits has jumped from 4.6 million to 11.1 million today—a 146 percent increase. At the same time, violent crime rates have dropped by 22 percent.

That’s no accident, says John R. Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center. “When you allow people to carry concealed handguns, you see changes in the behavior of criminals,” he points out. Lott also declares that the violent crime drop is directly related to the percentage of the population with permits.

More guns, less crime is not a theory that Obama and his like-minded cronies would ever ascribe to, yet the facts bear it out time and again.
