Another Actor Bashes The Second Amendment

posted on July 6, 2016

In Australia promoting his new Jason Bourne movie, American actor Matt Damon showed his disdain for the Second Amendment—and his lack of knowledge about the restrictive gun confiscation and ban instituted Down Under.

Calling for America to follow Australia’s lead, Damon said, “You guys did it here in one fell swoop and I wish that could happen in my country, but it’s such a personal issue for people that we cannot talk about it sensibly.” Then he foolishly added, “And nobody’s rights have been infringed, you guys are fine.”

In truth, Australian authorities, through compensated forced confiscation, took some 650,000 registered firearms of all kinds from law-abiding citizens and destroyed them. If that’s Damon’s idea of “nobody’s rights have been infringed,” we’d hate to hear what he believes real infringement might be.

In the meantime, Damon will continue to make his millions off gratuitous gun violence in his films, while speaking out against law-abiding citizens’ right to keep and bear arms.
