This Thursday, the New Jersey Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee will hear Assembly Concurrent Resolution 175/Senate Concurrent Resolution 101, designed to block the governor’s executive action on the incremental improvements to the state’s concealed-carry standard.

NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action and the Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC) vigorously supported New Jersey’s right to self-defense by testifying against ACR 175/SCR 101 at the beginning of May. However, SCR 101 passed the Senate and has now been scheduled to be heard next week.

Anti-gun lawmakers, led by Democrat Sen. Loretta Weinberg, have been crystal clear that they oppose self-defense for ordinary citizens. More importantly, they completely oppose concealed carry in New Jersey.
