Anti-Gun Journalist Already Called For Obama-LaPierre Debate

While NRA Executive Vice President and CEO Wayne LaPierre issued a fiery challenge to President Obama to debate gun policy one-on-one in a neutral setting, the idea isn’t unheard of—or limited to the pro-gun side of the equation. An op-ed posted in The Daily Beast in October urged the president to participate in just such a debate. 

While the president has taken plenty of opportunities to lob insults at the NRA and deliver misleading factoids to the American people, this is the opportunity for him to really meet the NRA on the battleground of facts. Will he step up to the plate? We will keep you updated.
