Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives who want more restrictive gun control have begun turning the legislative proceedings into a clown show, repeatedly calling for the House to be adjourned if it’s not going to pass more gun-control legislation. As the congressional gun-haters realize they’re unlikely to get their way, they are favoring political theater over professionalism.

Each motion to adjourn failed, and the anti-gun reps are being asked to examine some unrelated bills on homeland security—you know, to actually do their job. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, condemned their practices, saying, “This body ought to be about doing things that make a difference, not doing things for show.”
