It happened around 6 p.m. in Boulder, Colo., in a parking lot of the Sacred Heart of Jesus church. A church employee was walking to his car and witnessed the whole confrontation. He also recognized the woman as a regular parishioner. When the legal concealed handgun carrier pulled out his gun and demanded the attempted murderer leave her alone, the suspect fled.
Heriberto Haro-Luna was later captured and arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and felony menacing. The victim, who sustained serious stab wounds, was rushed to the hospital and was doing well post-surgery.
