A Daytona Beach, Fla., man used his gun to stop three men who tried to forcefully enter his Holly Hill motel room early Tuesday morning.

According to local media reports, the 18-year-old said he fired his handgun at the three men—two wearing costume masks—who were trying to break into his room, but wasn’t sure if he hit any of them. What is sure, however, is that the gunfire put a quick end to the attack, as the three intruders quickly fled the scene.

Police said they found one costume mask and pepper spray when they arrived to the motel. They later found another mask behind the motel in the direction that the intruders fled.
