Armed Marine Vet Stops Home Invasion

posted on June 26, 2017

When a 62-year-old Marine veteran was recently robbed in his Theodore, Ala., home, the thieves threatened to harm him if he reported the incident to authorities. He reported it anyway.

On Thursday, the thieves returned, this time opening fire on the homeowner through the front door, hitting the man in the shoulder. That’s when the bad guys got more than they bargained for. The homeowner returned fire, hitting all three of the suspects.

According to local media reports, the victim and the home invaders were all hospitalized for treatment of their wounds. The local sheriff’s office said the suspects will be booked into Mobile County Metro Jail when released.
