Armed Memphis Man Thwarts Robber

A Memphis, Tenn., homeowner used his privately owned firearm to stop another man who was breaking into his home on Monday.

According to police reports, the homeowner said he found the other man breaking into his home. He grabbed his gun and fired one shot at the intruder, stopping the break-in on the spot.

The suspect ran away and was later found at a nearby medical facility, where he was seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. No charges had yet been announced at the time this report was compiled.
