A man in Cowpens, S.C., heard his neighbor’s dog barking loudly and went to investigate, finding that a door to the house was damaged. After calling the homeowner, he encountered a man trying to leave the property and detained him at gunpoint while calling sheriff’s deputies.

FOX Carolina reports that the suspect was handcuffed when deputies arrived, finding a screwdriver on his person that appeared to have been used to access the back door. The phone line to the house had been cut, and a bedroom had been ransacked. The suspect is currently facing multiple charges.
