A convenience store employee is alive and unhurt, and two attempted armed robbers are on the run today, thanks in part to the right to keep and bear arms.

On Wednesday afternoon, at the JB Food Mart in Winston-Salem, two men wearing hoodies and armed with handguns approached the cashier and demanded money, WXII-12 reports.

When one of the suspects fired a shot at a second employee, the clerk retrieved a gun and pointed it at the suspects, who immediately ran from the scene. No one was reportedly hurt in the incident.
