Atlanta Man Turns Tables On Carjacker

posted on May 23, 2015

Hashim Fannin of East Point, Ga., had just pulled into a grocery store parking lot in northwest Atlanta and put his car in park. When his car doors automatically unlocked, a man allegedly slipped into his back seat and announced, “You know what this is.”

Fannin says that he pulled out his gun and, “… asked him to get out of the car, probably not in those exact words …. I told him no, there’s no leaving, leaving was before you hopped into my car.” He held the intruder at gunpoint until police arrived. This was not Fannin’s first time to fight back: In 2011 he thwarted a robbery with a firearm.
