A prominent Australian politician is speaking out against Hillary Clinton’s enthusiastic support for “Australian-style” gun control—that is, forcible confiscation of firearms. In the latest episode of “Ginny Simone Reporting,” Sen. David Leyonhjelm fires back against Hillary’s characterization of the national “buyback” as a successful measure: “I was a bit horrified by that … I don’t think Australia is a model for the United States on gun control at all.”

As new reports reveal a thriving black market for firearms in Australia, throwing the balance of power firmly toward the side of criminals, it is madness to continue to parrot claims that the nation’s citizens are safer after being disarmed. We appreciate Sen. Leyonhjelm’s courage in cautioning America not to make the same mistake.
