Baltimore’s Violent Criminals Don’t Fear Arrest And Prosecution

posted on June 15, 2017

In a report at cbsnews.com, Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis admitted that the violent criminals driving the city’s burgeoning murder rate don’t care about the law because they have little fear that the courts will punish them.

Despite Maryland’s restrictive gun laws, Baltimore’s 146 murders this year are the highest ever recorded for the first five months of a year. The previous record was in 1993, with 139 homicides during that time period.

“It's guns, gangs and drugs,” Davis was quoted as saying, concluding: “They (criminals) don't fear an arrest, they don't fear a successful prosecution, and they don't fear a guilty verdict.”
