Black Rifle Reproduction Act

posted on April 8, 2015

A Connecticut congresswoman’s latest attempt to take AR-15 type rifles out of the hands of law-abiding Americans could be a boon for gun owners. Democrat U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro’s proposal would provide up to $2,000 in tax credits for gun owners who hand over their rifles.

“Assault weapons are not about hunting, or even self-defense,” DeLauro said. “There is no reason on earth, other than to kill as many people as possible in as short a time as possible, that anyone needs a gun designed for a battlefield.”

DeLauro’s asinine statement aside (she obviously has never been to a shooting range in a free state), we can see how such a program might be beneficial. Simply turn in your old, cheap AR, take your tax credit and buy two more. Then take one of those, turn it in and buy two more. Then … well, you get the picture.
