Billionaire Michael Bloomberg continues to bankroll gun control. The latest recipients are Virginia Democrats Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring. Northam is running for governor, and Herring is seeking re-election. Both elections have put the Second Amendment squarely on the ballot for Virginians.

Bloomberg’s political arm, Everytown For Gun Safety Action Fund, is donating $400,000 to Northam and $300,000 to Herring. These funds are in addition to an earlier $1 million contribution—$700,000 and $300,000 to Northam and Herring, respectively.

Unsurprisingly, Bloomberg’s chosen candidates have received “F” ratings from the NRA Political Victory Fund. NRA-ILA has described Northam as hostile toward our constitutional right to self-defense, and Herring as “one of the most anti-gun lawmakers in Virginia history.” NRA-ILA has endorsed both of their opponents, Republicans Ed Gillespie for governor and John Adams for attorney general.
