The oh-so benevolent billionaire is at it again. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has opened up his wallet and poured out $32 million to launch a program at Harvard University that will teach mayors how to “run cities more effectively.” This executive training is expected to reach as many as 300 mayors and 400 aides over the next four years.

During his three terms as mayor, Bloomberg famously turned the nation’s largest city into his own personal “nanny state”—one characterized by a barrage of controversial bans that the elitist attempted to pass in order to impose his control over every facet of New Yorkers’ lives.

Now, of course, the founder of Mayors Against Illegal Guns is attempting to bankroll anti-gun laws in states across the union. So it would hardly be surprising if his latest effort involving “training mayors” comes complete with a playbook on pushing gun control.
