Gun sales are on a roll, despite what liberal media elites would have you believe. FBI statistics released this week show that more than 2 million background check applications were processed by the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) in April. During the same time period last year, a record-setting 2,523,265 checks were performed, compared to this year’s 2,433,092 checks.

"Anyone looking to proclaim a continuing sales slump would be wrong based on the best number we have as a proxy for firearms sales for April 2017 compared to April 2016," National Shooting Sports Foundation Spokesman Mike Bazinet told the Washington Free Beacon.

The first two months of 2017 saw sales below last year’s totals, but those numbers have picked up in March and April. But you likely won’t hear that reported in the mainstream media, as they’re looking to perpetuate the false narrative that fewer Americans are exercising their right to bear arms.
