A Detroit, Mich., woman, who went the wrong way while driving to the salon, was trying to make a U-turn when three men approached her. After ordering her out of the vehicle, one of the men began shooting in her direction. The woman drew her own firearm, a SIG Sauer chambered in .357 SIG, and fired back, forcing her attackers to flee. “All of the residents of the city need to come together,” she said. “If you live in fear, you’ll never take this city back.”

Police temporarily confiscated the gun the woman used in the incident, but said that she legally defended herself. Fortunately, she still has her backup 9mm in the car.

Policing Should Not Be A Political Issue

Crime is a complicated topic, but there is an extremely simple rule that must be observed before one can begin to fight it effectively: One must genuinely wish to deal with the problem. Without such an elementary ambition, no amount of legislation, activity, taxpayer money or speechmaking will make the slightest bit of difference.
