According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), more background checks for gun sales were processed last month than for any other September on record. That marks the 17th straight month in which the country has experienced a record-high gun sales total.
Just under 2 million checks were conducted using the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) in September, an increase of about 200,000 over the same month last year. The September total also outpaced the record August total by about 150,000.Most Popular
