The NRA Institute for Legislative Action Tuesday called on the U.S. Senate to confirm Congressman Ryan Zinke as secretary of the interior. If confirmed, Zinke could help nullify President Obama’s parting act of retaliation against gun owners—the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Director’s Order No. 219, which seeks to ban the use of traditional lead ammunition, and even lead fishing sinkers, on national wildlife refuge lands and waters.

“It is more important than ever that we have a secretary of the interior who respects the Second Amendment and will stand up for our rights,” said NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox. Last year, Zinke received an “A” rating from the NRA Political Victory Fund. He’s helped us, and now he needs our help.
