Not surprisingly, the Huffington Post is looking for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to bring gun control even farther to the forefront of the presidential campaign with a vice president selection that will make it a priority. Of course Hillary has never been a Second Amendment supporter, as her official website lists an agenda of, “comprehensive background checks, cracking down on illegal gun traffickers, holding dealers and manufacturers accountable when they endanger Americans, and keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and stalkers.”

However, HuffPo’s editorial piece refers to the Republican Party’s defense of Second Amendment rights as ‘crap,’ calling the presumptive nominee Donald Trump “Shlump” while ridiculing the notion that armed, law-abiding Americans help keep the country safe from criminals. Ultimately the Post’s call to arms against arms suggests Hillary select an unusual (if not completely logical for HuffPo) choice for VP: Shannon Watts, leader of billionaire Michael Bloomberg's pet project Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
