An inmate facing multiple felony charges stole a deputy’s gun inside a Michigan courthouse and used it to kill two bailiffs and wound two others. The inmate, who was still handcuffed, was fatally shot by officers as he tried to flee.

But those were facts that Wil Wheaton just couldn’t be bothered with. As news broke of an active shooter at a county courthouse, the “Stand By Me” and “Star Trek: The Next Generation” actor immediately took to Twitter to decry the NRA. “Welcome to America. It has been 0 days since our last mass shooting. #F***theNRA,” read his knee-jerk tweet.

Hours later, after the true nature of the day’s events was reported, Wheaton’s tweet remained in place. Apparently if you live in the land of make-believe, there’s no reason to let reality interfere with your liberal agenda.
