“That’s the store owner trying to protect his business. He’s got a family, and people are trying to take away his business … That’s not right.”

A witness told Los Angeles ABC7 that the owner of a car audio shop shot and killed two armed robbers, and injured a third during a botched robbery attempt. Officers responded to a shooting at First Class Car Audio on Monday night, finding two men dead at the scene.

“Detectives have determined three armed men entered the business and attempted to rob the business owner,” a police spokesman said. “Gunfire was exchanged during which the business owner shot all three suspects, two of whom died at the scene. The third suspect sought medical treatment for his gunshot wounds at a local hospital and is receiving medical care.” The owner of the business, Jorge Valencia, was unharmed, and officers are still questioning the third suspect, who is expected to survive.
