Law-abiding gun owners know that Moms Demand Action can’t handle the prospect of people exercising their Second Amendment right, but it seems like one of the group’s so-called leaders doesn’t support the First Amendment, either.

It seems Kellye Burke, a chapter leader of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, was offended when she saw a couple of teenage girls, one of whom had the audacity to wear a “Trump: Make America Great Again” T-shirt.

Burke was so distraught over the blatant show of support for President Donald Trump that she reportedly yelled, “Grab ’em by the (expletive for a part of the female anatomy omitted), girls.”

A father of one of the girls said the teens ignored Burke’s outburst at first, but the Demanding Mom continued her tirade, yelling “MAGA! MAGA! MAGA!” and shaking her fist.

“They were scared. They were absolutely scared,” the father said.

Someone with a smart phone apparently used its video function to record the scene, which allowed officials to identify Burke, who represents West University Place residents on the city council, as the offender. She has since been charged with disorderly conduct.

Burke added fuel to fire by issuing a half-hearted apology, saying, “I do not believe repeating the words of the president of the United States is a crime.” And when KPRC reporters stopped by her house to get a comment in response to the charges, Burke reportedly yelled at them and told them to go away.”

A mother of one of Burke’s victims knocked the apology, calling it more of an attempt to placate parents than to express sincere regret. Indeed, she even offered Burke a piece of advice: “If a T-shirt triggers such strong emotions, one should seek therapy.”
