We’ve already covered MoveOn.org’s attempt to counter NRA power by establishing a rival “grassroots” organization of “gun owners committed to fighting for gun control.” According to The Truth About Guns, the group is now hitting up members for money to support their pet gun owners’ foray to the White House and further recruiting efforts.

An email blast from MoveOn.org brags about the anti-gun group’s “32,260 members” and asks supporters, “Can you chip in $3 to help responsible gun owners stand up to the NRA?” They’ve got a long way to go before they can match the 25 bucks apiece of 5 million proud Second Amendment supporters.
