The star of the film “Trainwreck” appears to have figuratively staged one on the streaming service Netflix. FOXNews is reporting that noted anti-Second Amendment comedian Amy Schumer’s latest special is receiving overwhelmingly negative reviews from subscribers and critics.

More than 1,300 viewers have weighed in since “Amy Schumer: The Leather Special” premiered last week, with the show mustering a rating of only one star out of five. “SO BAD!!,” said one viewer, with another adding, “Having a senator in the family may be useful for have Felony Grand Larceny charges squashed, but it can’t make you funny. She is adept at stealing other people’s jokes and making them not funny ....” Schumer has famously joined her second cousin, Senator Chuck Schumer, in campaigning for stricter gun laws.

The special hasn’t fared much better with critics. Newsday said it’s “too much” and “too carnal,” while the LA Times says it ratchets up explicit themes and “that’s not a good thing.”
