An article on the NRA Institute for Legislative Action’s website identifies the latest piece of misinformation peddled by Everytown for Gun Safety. The Michael Bloomberg-backed anti-gun group has been claiming victory because national Right-to-Carry reciprocity is not yet the law of the land.

Never mind that anti-gun activists are losing ground across the country, with permitless carry and campus carry laws going into effect in state after state. Never mind that support for Right-to-Carry reciprocity is higher than ever before and may soon be strong enough to pass a bill through the House. Because such a landmark win for gun rights hasn’t happened yet, Everytown would have supporters believe that they are to be congratulated.

This appears to be the latest trend in messaging from anti-gun groups. Without significant victories to speak of, Everytown and their ideological comrades have been reduced to bragging about the defeats they made it through the week without suffering.
