NRA Spending $3 Million To Expose Hillary’s Hypocrisy

posted on August 11, 2016

The National Rifle Association’s Political Victory Fund on Tuesday announced a $3 million ad buy aimed at pointing out the hypocrisy of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton when it comes to guns and self-defense.

“If elected, Hillary Clinton will appoint an anti-gun Supreme Court justice to overturn our fundamental right to self-protection,” Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA's Political Victory Fund, told USA TODAY. “That is what this election is about: protecting our individual right to keep a firearm in our home for protection and making sure that there isn't one set of rules for political elites like Hillary Clinton and a different set for the rest of us.”

The ad highlights Clinton’s hypocrisy in constantly being surrounded by armed security while pushing for further gun restrictions that would only harm the law-abiding. “She’s one of the wealthiest women in politics. Combined income: $30 million. Tours the world on private jets. Protected by armed guards for 30 years. But she doesn’t believe in your right to keep a gun at home for self-defense,” the ad says, specifically referring to her statement that the Supreme Court was “wrong” in the Heller decision, in which it ruled that the Second Amendment protects the right of Americans to keep a gun in their home for self-defense.
