Oklahoma Prosecutor Shoots Home Invader

posted on December 12, 2015

Assistant District Attorney Erin Oquin of Craig County, Okla., is unhurt after shooting an intruder who allegedly kicked down her door. Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton explained to News on 6, “We don’t know if he knew whether that house was occupied or not, but he found out shortly after he entered it.”

The suspect was shot once in the chest and jumped into his car, driving away. He was eventually found wounded by a city police officer. Authorities said that the intruder was a serial burglar.

Of Oquin, Sheriff Walton said, “She was a victim in her home, with a very high expectation of safety and privacy, and an intruder comes in and she was ready to deal with it, and did so.” It’s a good thing that the local district attorney doesn’t forbid prosecutors from owning guns, or things might have gone quite a bit differently.

The Increasing Burden of Backdoor Gun Control

A mountain of fees, regulations and more is making it increasingly difficult for many law-abiding Americans to exercise their Second Amendment rights. This is what gun-control proponents want.
