Speaking to The Delaware County Daily Times, Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood quoted the victim of a crime, “He kept saying, ‘I got a gun, I got a gun, I got a gun.’” And he did.
In the latest example of “never bring a knife to a gunfight,” two men with knives confronted an Upper Darby, Pa., man and found their target was also armed—with a firearm. “A father and son get out of the car and walk up to the shooter with a knife,” Chitwood continued. That’s when the victim said he was armed—over and over.
“He has a concealed weapon permit for a 9 mm. Then the knife-wielding man comes toward him and he shoots him in the knee,” Chitwood said. “He told us he purposely shot him in the leg.” The suspect was treated for injuries and released, and is expected to be charged with assault and terroristic threats.
