Since 2006, Pennsylvania gun owners and Second Amendment supporters have been gathering annually at the state capitol in Harrisburg to send a message to legislators that gun control has no place in the commonwealth. The 11th-annual Right to Keep and Bear Arms Rally—hosted by NRA and other pro-gun groups across the state—is scheduled for next Monday, May 22.

The 2A Rally has been credited with improvements and protections such as strengthening state pre-emption laws, getting Castle Doctrine enacted, prohibiting the confiscation of firearms in emergency situations and protecting hunters’ right to carry a self-defense firearm when in the field. Speakers for this year’s event include Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, Rep. Mike Kelly, Dr. John R. Lott Jr., Attorney Josh Prince and gun-rights activist Kim Stolfer.

The rally will begin inside the Capitol at 10 a.m. Attendees are asked to visit their legislators following the gathering to discuss Second Amendment-related legislation.
