The Armed Citizen

On the evening of Sept. 6 in Dania Beach, Fla., a man was allegedly robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of a gas station. The suspected robber then entered the station and robbed the clerk as well. When he returned outside, he reportedly began to run at the man he’d previously robbed, and this time, the victim shot him and then attempted to hold him at gunpoint. As he did so, a third man allegedly attempted to run over the armed citizen, so he jumped out of the way and shot at the driver. Responding police had both suspects transported to the hospital for treatment, where the driver died of his wounds. Police briefly detained the armed citizen, and the investigation was ongoing.
